Lesson: The students worked on editing their rough drafts of their personal narratives. When students finished editing, they started working on their final drafts. The final draft is due on Thursday at the end of class. Students have the option to hand write or type their final drafts. Here are the requirements for each: Hand write:

Lesson: In class, the students spent time editing and revising their personal narrative rough drafts. The students are using their revising guides in their packets to edit their papers. We will continue editing our papers next week. I encourage parents to take a look over your student's personal narrative to check for any mistakes they missed! :) The final drafts are due next Thursday at the end of class. Quick Write: The movie The Bucket List popularized the idea of making a bucket list. A bucket list is a list of things you want to do before you “kick the bucket.” Make a list of items that are on your bucket list. Homework: Optional - Have your parent or another adult edit your personal narrative. Warm Up: Rewrite and classify the following sentences.

The students used the revising guide on pages 14-16 to edit their rough drafts. We will continue editing and revising our rough drafts into next week. Quick Write: If you were forced to spend the rest of your life as either a deck hand on a ship or as a librarian at a prestigious university, which would you choose and why? Homework: If your rough draft was not completed in class, finish your rough draft for tomorrow. Warm Up: Rewrite the sentences in your composition notebook. 1) Classify the sentence. 2) Draw a line to separate the subject and the predicate. 3) Underline the complete subject. 4) Double underline the complete predicate.
