Lesson: Today the students started working on their Digital Storytelling Project. The students are turning their biography reports into movies using Windows Movie Maker. Today I taught the students how to search for pictures. We talked about what copyright means and how to filter your search results on Google Images to find pictures that aren't copyrighted. Then I taught the students how to save their pictures. This is a VERY important step. The students will be saving every part of this project in their student user drives. This is a drive located on Linn Mar computers where the students can save long term. If they don't save in the right place, they will lose their work. Unfortunately, since the students are saving in their user drives, they aren't able to work on this project at home. They can only access this on Linn Mar computers. The students will have plenty of work time on this project and are always welcome to stay after school! We practiced these steps together and then the students had work time.
