Lesson: Today I introduced prepositional phrases. A prepositional phrase is a phrase that starts with a preposition and ends with a noun or pronoun. For example, "The cat slept on the bed. The preposition is "on" and all the other words that belong with "on" make the prepositional phrases. We went over the prepositional phrases in the warm up, added prepositions to sentences on P. 76, and went through the pages we have done this week and underlined the prepositional phrases.
We switched gears and I spent the last 10 minutes teaching the students about the RACE strategy for answering questions.
