Lesson: Today the students received their graded informative paragraphs. We went through the rubric together and I shared things that students did well and areas that we could work on. If a student was not proficient at one of the skills, they have two weeks to make revisions. They can do this during iExcel, before school, after school, or during a working lunch!
Then some students worked on revising their adjective and adverb test while other students did a quick write! I used a story-telling game called Story Cubes (See below) for their writing prompt. To play Story Cubes, the teacher rolls 9 pictures cubes. The students must then tell a story that uses all 9 pictures in some way. The students were encouraged to fill their story with adjectives and adverbs! At the end of class, we shared our stories.
