- The goose honked at the duck at the lake.
- Tracy quickly ran to the bus after school.
Lesson: Today the students learned about subject nouns and verbs. To find the subject noun of a sentence, you ask yourself, "Who or what is the sentence about?" To find the verb, you ask yourself, "What is the subject doing?" For example:
- The dog ran across the yard. (Dog would be the subject noun and ran would be the verb.)
