- A singular noun is one noun. (For example: dog, teacher, house)
- A plural noun is more than one noun. (For example: dogs, teachers, houses)
Then we revisited their quick writes from Friday. The students used highlighters to highlight every noun in their story. The students paired up and had to read their stories out loud without the nouns. I also read an excerpt from a book and skipped over all of the nouns. We quickly realized that nouns are essential to a good story, or the story doesn't make sense! The students chose their favorite noun from the story and I collected several nouns that we will use in an activity tomorrow.
