Lesson: We started off class with a quick write. We did a Halloween Roll-A-Story. A Roll-A-Story is where you roll the dice to determine the main character, the setting time and place, and conflict of a story. The students were given 5 minutes to write and then we shared as a class. Here is what the Roll-A-Story looks like:
- The dog was behind the fence. (Behind shows the relationship between the dog and the fence.)
- The ghost flew inside the haunted house. (Inside shows the relationship between the ghost and the haunted house.)
The students were assigned a preposition. On a small piece of paper, they wrote a sentence using the preposition and drew a picture to go with their sentence. We will decorate the classroom bulletin board with their pictures. The students will have 10 minutes tomorrow during their warm up to work on their preposition pictures. They were encouraged to do more than one, but are only required to do one.
Homework: Work on preposition picture
