Lesson: The students continued working on their geographic dictionary. In their composition notebooks, the students wrote the word, definition, and drew a picture for each term. Here are the definitions for the words we covered today.
- Delta – A triangular section of land where a big river divides into smaller rivers; empties into an ocean
- Rainforest – Densely overgrown land with tropical vegetation and high annual rainfall
- Canyon – A deep, narrow valley with high, steep sides
- Desert – An area with little to no annual rainfall where few plants grow.
